It's really simple..... Wanna drasically lower gun violence in America??? Anyone caught with an illegal firearm (mandatory 25 years), anyone who commits a crime with a firearm (mandatory life in prison), discharge a firearm in the commision of a crime (mandatory execution). Watch how fast gun crime plummets.

Ouch, Jarhead. "illegal firearm"? No thanks, when "illegal" is only a stroke of a pen away. Crime committed with a firearm? Well, I can't speak for you, but I carry my pistol, and I've been known to have a lead foot. I would much rather not go to federal PMITA prison, thanks.

I see what you mean. I think we need to work HARD on the phrasing, though.

Bill gets bonus points for using PMITA. Yes, phrasing clearly could use some work.

I agree with the sentiment expressed by Jarhead, and would consider it a good start if we even enforced the laws and sentences we already have.
