Hello everyone. Hope everyone's week went well. So I've been reading and watching and listening to sooo much ... well just peoples crap to put it nicely. I consider myself a reasonable rational person. I'm no genius and I'm also no idiot. I love being an American and I'm greatful to be here in this beautiful country of ours. I'm just so alarmed or disappointed I guess in some of my brothers and sisters. They way people think anymore worries me. There are so many good people in this country that seem so far out in space. I guess I'm missing a calmness or reasonable, thoughtfull people. This rant could go forever. Whatever side I choose, state I live in , race I am , I am an American first just saying

Remember, the ones that scream the loudest are almost always the minority on the fringe

Exactly! Exacerbating our problems is that too many people on both sides only hear what the other side's fringe is screaming. The end result is too many people worked up about things that aren't really an accurate perception. I wish I had an answer for it, but I fall victim to it too.

Our America has a lot of idiots that do not value this country or its freedoms.
It's a socialist movement that is gaining support in remains of the Democratic Party.
It's a social movement that attempts to intimidate the majority of Americans by riots.
It's a movement that believes that your beliefs are wrong and have no place in this nation.
This movment does not see you as a brother or sister you are the enemy.
Do not believe that everyone is a "good person" or an American.

There are a lot of things at work here and it's hard to grasp when your priorities include work hard, do your best and take care of your family.

Narratives get pushed to accomplish a goal. That goal is never enough and a new narrative gets pushed. A lawful gun owner chooses to go places they are welcome. We don't go out of our way to demand service from non-2A friendly businesses (gun-ists lets say), vilify them, use the media to help push one side of the story, find politicians to jump in on the subject.

For the most part we want to preserve 2A rights. We don't use this as the latest cause to provide a bandwagon. It's almost 2017 and flying Old Glory is considered hateful and oppressive. That didn't happen overnight, but more importantly it didn't happen by accident.

Follow the money. Who gains? Who gets power?
Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have. The greatest enemy of individual freedom is the individual himself.

Both of those are Saul Alinsky quotes, both contain the word "enemy". If there is not an enemy the mob-rules approach grinds to a screeching halt. Make no mistake, if you're a gun owner, a Christian, a law enforcement officer, a successful business owner, or just someone with a differing point of view, you are the enemy.

You express a frustration that most of us here share Scott. Although each and every detail wouldn`t be the same about each of us, the general thinking would be, I believe.

I want an America back where English is spoken, and expected to be spoken. I want an America back where perversion is not lifted up and celebrated. I want an America back where people are considerate and look out for one another. I want an America back where the Constitution is understood as the law of the land, and is followed and enforced. I want an America back where sense and reason prevail instead of mindless, emotional rhetoric. I want an America back where expressing your opinion is ok, instead of those with differing views screaming for your loss of liberty and safety. I want an America back where people understand that the only things they`re "entitled" to, are those thing that they work for and earn. I want an America back where we`re all just Americans, no hyphenated names. I want an America back where families take care of their own, where parents love and protect their children, and the parents work every day to provide for them. Where the kids know they`re loved, and feel safe and secure.
I want an America back where we`re not demonized for flying our nations flag because it may offend someone. I want an America back in which our elected EMPLOYEES understand, they`re accountable to US, NOT us to them.
Most of all, I want an America back where most Americans are practicing Christians, because, were we to follow the commandments of our Lord, Jesus Christ, everything else would fall right into place.

I was floored when I actually saw this from Alinsky in the preface of the book, Rules for Radicals:
Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins – or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom – Lucifer

A prime example of something I can't grasp, I watched a report today of a highly decorated Vietnam vet vs some damn HOA he kept a nice clean home and yard. The problem was this man was proud to have served his country and had and American flag and the USMC colors flying off his garage. They were on those angled hang on flagpole. They looked very uniform. Well the HOA just to give him crap tells him he has to take one down because you can only fly one flag in the HOA agreement. Neighbors complained but refused to comment or be put on camera. Situations like this are a real tragedy for this country. That this man can't be left in peace to show his pride and patriotism after serving his country. Meanwhile protesters want the rights, while they stand on,spit on,and burn out flag. Should these antics be allowed? where is the line?

I feel strongly about everything you just listed. Sometimes theres so much it's hard to verbalize or write but you hit the nail my friend.

He voluntarily signed a contract. If he wanted two flag poles, he shouldn't have signed an agreement that said he could only have one.

I'll never purchase a property with a HOA for this very reason.

Meanwhile protesters want the rights, while they stand on,spit on,and burn out flag. Should these antics be allowed? where is the line?

The line ends at property rights. If you own the flag, do what you want with it. If you don't own the flag and you damage it, you should be prosecuted by the owner. Seems simple enough to me.
