Is there any interest??? AZSA Group Forming.

    Have a look here.

I'm posting this to gauge interest in forming an Indiana Club.

I have a range in mind and would like to have an idea of the interest in the central Indiana area before I approach them with a proposal.

I have a 1911a1 and will be getting a Thompson 1927a1 when my tax refund arrives. It should be relatively easy for most of you to gear up, you already have acceptable guns.

Are any of you Indiana members interested?

If so, post in this thread and/or PM me.

In What? Just a range? There are numerous around. Are you seeking to organize a competitive sanction? What are your intentions? You need to provide specifics prior to interest. Who, What, Where!

Have a look at the link in the original post. If you think of SASS as a game of Cowboys with real guns, you can think of the AZSA as a game of Cops and Robbers with real guns.

I'm attempting to start a local chapter in the central Indianan area.

Here are a few more links.

I am not a SASS individual. I am not much of a Revo man.

I am an avid USPSA pistol shooter at ACC. Atlanta Conservation Club.
We shoot USPSA every Sunday at ACC and somewhere in Indiana every Sunday.
    Are you familiar with USPSA?

I am not familiar with your organization you're looking to sanction.

    Maybe look at ICORE

It's like the cowboy action stuff, only with a 1920s gangster theme/guns. (1911s and tommy guns)

This is a cool concept (specific era themed shooting groups) but this era wouldn't be my cup of tea. I would be up for some WW2 themed shooting though.

Chances are, that most of you already have more than one gun that would be suitable for the shoots.

Any of you that are involved in SASS will have a pair of revolvers and a lever action that would be fine. The AZSA rules are here.

I have enough money wrapped up in my sport, time, and fun. This endeavor sounds like fun, But I don't think playing a fantasy roll of a Gangsta provides me anymore fun than I am having. As well I do not have to dress a specific part.

Rob, Why don't we start a Gangsta Series that states that dress has to be a NY Yankee hat turned sideways, pants around your thighs, must have at least 2 lbs of Bling on and all shots got to be Strong Hand Only. Shot with gun sights on the side! We can call it the WBL! "WannaBe-League" As well at ACC we have on the Gravel road in Bays 1-5 Drive By's

    What'cha thing G-Money, Bro, Homey? :ar15:

I finally had a chance to get to the range today. My time was limited, I only put 100 rounds through the 1927a1. Functioning was flawless, not one failure of any type. The rifle was shooting 10 inches low at 25 yards using the basic sight with the ladder folded down. Using the ladder sight at 100 yards, I was able to pick off pieces of clay birds that someone had left on the backstop. All shooting was off hand.

I did not try the drum, I did not take the time to load it.

I expect to get to the range again this weekend and should have a good bit more time.
