Agreed. Putting it in context, Israel is a "socialist democracy" like those in western Europe where the state is the ultimate arbiter of things and the public's say is limited to *****ing at the ballot box. I have to admit though, it is odd that threads about gun laws in another country (which like ALL other countries, does NOT have the 2A in their constitution/laws) show up in a forum titled "legislation and the2nd Amendment". INGO needs another forum: "Boost or bash Israel"Their gun laws are unfortunate and from my outsider's perspective, demonstrate no small amount of disdain for history and what happens when regular people do not have ready access to weapons.
It kid of reminds me of military bases in war zones whose commanders insist that no one be armed inside of the gates.
