    A holler in Kentucky
    I was never a huge fan of theirs, but they definitely created some instantly recognizable songs. Just hearing the name "J. Geils" brings back a lot of memories of the 80s! May he rest in peace.

    It was on the news here last night. 71. I liked them casually. I think they have a handful of good songs and a good reputation for their old live shows.

    Add to this...Charlie Murphy died today.......Who's the third????

    Heard this on the radio this morning.
    They announced that "John Geils" had died, and I said, "Who"?

    They had to say that he was a musician before I made the connection.
    He was known as "J" during his career. I don't know why they announced it as John.
