Do you feel it is simply unnecessary? Or do you feel like its actually dangerous?

I could get on board with it being unnecessary. As he's not actively shooting in the videos where he's in his shop he obviously doesn't need for the guns to be loaded. He could give the same information and make the same video with unloaded guns. I don't feel like having them loaded adds to the value of the video.

But dangerous? I don't personally think so. I've seen quite a few of his videos and I don't recall ever seeing a 4-rules violation. When do you feel he's not "using it safely"? I also make the assumption that there's no one behind the camera when he's pointed guns at it. I would feel differently if this wasn't the case.

If we are supposed to be of the mindset that we "treat all guns as if they are loaded", does it really matter if they are or not?

Why would you want your guns unloaded though? What if someone attacked while they were filming?

Damn, wish I had loaded them guns

I find Yeager's video's informative and entertaining. He lacks Political Correctness, a quality which I admire in this so liberally correct socialist world. Calling someone a Coward or Chicken on the Internet is akin to shouting naked lady in a group of Blind teenage boys and it hardly seems sporting. James has become a caricature, tattooed, unafraid to speak his mind, unpolitically correct and speaks the language as a common man. Training, everyone doesn't train the same, differing techniques are used, some stair step from others methods or basic principles used for many years. I take away what I think would work for me and ignore what I think is inappropriate or awkward for me :twocents:

Hmmm, having read the thread the OP started on Yeager's forum, I seriously wonder if he is just seeking attention for his videos. I haven't met Yeager, trained with him and might not be able to recognize him if I saw him on the street BUT I do know his videos get a good bit of attention (good & bad) and this just seems like riding on someone else's coattails' ....... If you don't like what he does, don't travel around to his and other forums bringing up his name.... Unless you are trying to make him more popular. This negativity only sparks interest....humans are nosy creatures.... Mr OP, if you ignor him, many shooters many never know who he is....

    Anyways...just my .020¢

It may be hard for some people to understand, but I call Yeager out anywhere I can because I believe he is doing great harm to gun rights in this country with the "crazy Jim" style he has embraced.

You can think whatever you want, but that's what I think and that's why I've said what I've said. Some people choose to remain silent, I do not.

I trained down at tac response and thought it was a great class. I liked Yeager as a person, we all went out to dinner one night and he is a genuine good person and gets a bad rap from alot of people. I also like that he is not pc it is refreshing in this day and age for someone to speak their mind. The photographer down range was a shock and not expected but I dont feel that he was in any danger. I did serve my country in 3rd bat at benning and having met Yeager and taking his course I do have a great deal of respect for him and his instructors. I also have tattoos and so did alot of the guys who served next to me sorry if that also appears to offend you. It is america and you do have the right to be offended and Yeager also has the right to do what he does. Freedom what a beautiful double edged sword.

If you call him out, go down to Camden and do it on video.... He offered to pay your airfare or gas money.... Do it mano-a-mano...put it on Youtube, I am sure it will go viral.

Going on multiple forums only make you look jealous of Yeager.... Regardless of your message, you look like a forum stalker.... Like I said I don't know him from Adam so I just want ya to know, it's from posts like you do that first brought him to my attention....and liking a good but of hat he says in his videos...so inall reality, you are in fact helping him more than you are hindering him.

It appears the op is just looking for attention for his videos. The video the op attached was put on youtube on the 14th; he joins this site on the 16th, makes some posts and waits til now to say,"Oh by the way here's a video of me trying to call out James Yeager." I'm sure this isn't the only form he's done this on trying to get views on his youtube channel . Theres actually substance and information to Jame's videos. Watching the op's videos on his channel is like watching a kid play with his toys.:mallninja:

Who cares?? Obviously you. You took time to make a video and post it online; then go around to various gun forums, become a member, then post your video to the forums. I find it hard to take any of the video serious coming from someone who has to stop and take a breath after every sentence. I'm sure you know all about being "special" ops.

I don't like Yeager but I agree with some of what he says. I will, however, defend his right to say whatever he wants.....and let the free market decide.

Absolutely. This is basic YouTube trolling. It's been done many times before and usually ends in the troller getting ran out of internet town.

RetiredSteve, read the comments on my YouTube video and you'll notice how many people have done precisely that, contacted him personally via e-mail and even phone, only to have had him tell them to do something anatomically impossible and then be hung up. Yeager did this as a stupid PR stunt and he has not accepted anyone's challenge back to him. Several real-deal special forces guys have agreed to come down and get into with him. He has blocked them, ignored them, hung up on them.

Yeager is doing the greater shooting community a tremendous disservice with his antics. The drunken Santa routine was a particularly low point recently.
