There is no Russian word for "firearms safety" . . . or "traffic safety", or "airline safety", or "food safety", or . . . just the word safety does not exist in Russian.

The etymology of the word "бєзопасность" is "without-danger." So, in Russian, there's "danger" embedded in the word for "safe."

Semester abroad from IU or some other institution?

Took an "academic vacation" of sorts from Wabash College with a semester at U.E.'s Harlaxton campus in England. Pic of the campus below. The school has been the set of a couple films including "The Last Days of Patton"
