The state of Michigan does honor the Florida carry license, but only for residents of Florida - which the pastor is.

They wont honor a florida license from residents from any other state. Same for Utah.

    last i'd heard anyway.

But, but, I've always heard that parking lots are magical places that prevent guns from discharging.

Every time, every single time you load or unload the weapon can discharge regardless of where your finger is. If you want to be "safe" stop waving it around in the parking lot and leave the thing in your holster.

Koran-Burning Pastor Accidentally Fires Gun in Mich. Parking Lot | The Blaze

Where to start with this story...

First he has a ND in a parking lot in Michigan. Somehow he escapes any charges and has his weapon returned to him. I wonder if he let the MSP search his cell phone...

Anyway, what struck me as interesting in this story is that officials will not allow him to protest outside of a mosque. Now... I think he's an idiot for wanting to do this... but I do believe he has the right to protest. :dunno:

It looks like the town is willing to allow him to carry out his protest if he pays $100,000 in advance for 'peacekeeping'. Sounds like someone would be expecting trouble in a major way?

    Discuss.

This is in another thread. I was thinking the same thing though, why can't they peacefully assemble and protest? And shouldn't the town worry more about going after the people that would react in a violent manner? we wouldn't want to upset the Muslim community now would we.

Well, he's certainly covered all the bases. Uniting/inciting people of all faiths nationwide against him, made his followers look like a bunch of hateful imbeciles, and proven he shouldn't be trusted with a firearm.
    Way to go, numbnutz!

Kind of how it was planned...after all, he is Rush Limbaughs buddy. They were friends in high school and graduated together...Coincidence? Nah...
