Shooting in the Korean War ended in July, 1953 with the signing of the armistice. Seems like, by now, they would have agreed on some sort of treaty, or resumed fighting to finish it. Why, after 59 years, has there been no official end to the war?

Because every tyranical dictator needs an enemy to focus the attention of their population upon, so that its citizens consider their own welfare, even starvation, less important than the need to build nuclear weapons...

It happens. Andorra (an indpendent republic) didn't officially end their participation in World War I until 1958. Andorra was annexed by France in 1812 and was overlooked when the Treaty of Versailles was drafted and not included in the peace provisions. Someone discovered that fact and in 1958, Andorra declared peace with Germany.

We could send bush over there. He such a cunning military leader, Im sure he could get things fixed up in a matter of 50 years or so. After destroying their economy of course.

he did such a great job here. i was saying they could use the benefit of having him help them.

That's BS and you know it, you sound just like a Obama clone, blame it all on Bush.

The financial problems created was the result of greedy bankers not doing their do diligence on making sure who they was loaning the money to could properly pay it back. After than it was nothing but an uncontrollable downward spiral.

Bush was lame duck at that point and could not do anything.

Besides the fact that Fearless leader BHO did nothing to help other than to spend more money than what George Washington to George W Bush spent combined and to increase public sector jobs that we as a collective group have to foot the bill for.

North Korea's problem lies with their communistic power regime, remove those people that are  and let that country start to grow and not be held hostage by it's own power controlling "we let you live" leaders.

korea was/ is a proxy war.. the sides that created the partition don't really have land to lose.. so no one at the table wants to give in...
North Korea would have collapsed if China & the USSR had not been propping it up for so long.. the South may have selected a different form of government if we had not forced our upon them following WW2 ..

now both sides have become dependent on all the outside aid that is sent to "aid the peace talks" ..

    Because Truman was a pansy.

Wasn't because Truman was a pansy, it was because MacArthur went Patton on us and we did'nt need the start of WWIII so close to the end of WWII.

If Truman would have been a pansy, Little Man and Fat Boy would not have been dropped.

Don't need Bush or anyone else to wreak North Korea's economy.

War didn't officially end because the United Nations had to dance around Russia and China and end ups with some sort of face saving solution.

The Chinese were openly fighting us and Truman choked at the thought of a little nuclear waste North of the Yalu.
