I recently purchased a GSG-5 and was talking with a gentleman who told me about the lawsuit HK won. I have the pre-ban model so I have all the goodies that HK spun a rod about.

I'm starting to become interested in some of the lawsuits that have been filed by some other weapon manufacturers. Do any of you know of any other instances where a manafacturer has sued another because of similarities?

I just find it interesting for some reason and want to read about them.

Mauser sued Springfield over the design of the 1903 Springfield, saying it was a copy of the Mauser design. (It was!) Springfield paid them royalties until the onset of WWI, when they said, "up yours, let's see whose is better on the field of battle!"

*Disclaimer* I'm not sure that's exactly what Springfield told Mauser, but I like to think it is!

I will check that one out!!

Has Colt ever filed a lawsuit based on copies of the m-16? It seems to me that's one of the most copied weapons in the world!
