I am really needing a pocket gun. Where I work I cannot carry on on my side. Its not illegal, but I cant chance anyone seeing it. So...I need a pocket gun, but I just cannot bring myself to buying a .380. Do any of you carry an LCR in your pocket? Does it print? Is it comfortable? Any info would be helpful.

For me, unless I'm wearing cargo shorts, the LCR is just a wee bit too wide for pocket carry. I find that a S&W J Frame or a Ruger LC9, which are slimmer than a LCR, conceal much better.

Archduke Ferdinand and his wife were killed with a .380, thus starting WWI. 22's kill more people than 9mm in our society.

It is not what you carry but how you use it.

The LCR is a GREAT pocket revolver, but you need to switch out the standard grip and put on their boot grip otherwise as the others have noted it's a bit wide and the grip itself is too grippy

I carry my lcr in my pocket in an Uncle Mikes holster. I also have the regular grips, not the boot grip.

I could also wiki an FBI shoot out and sway the argument the other way. That wasn't what I was asking about but thanks for the history lesson. Bigger bullet bigger hole more blood on floor. Lets say I'm shot near the heart with a .380 and I shoot bad guy back in same place, near the heart....I watch him die first.

I've been carrying my LCR .357 lately. it does really good in my Desantis Nemisis pocket holster. I do coat pocket now, but I think it will work well with Docker style shorts in the summer.

According to Ruger's website, the LCR is chambered in .22, .38 special (not .380), and .357 magnum. The .357 and the .40 S&W have good reputation as man-stopping calibers (some would say better than the .45 ACP and the 9mm), if that's what you're worried about.

I remember the first gun I ever carried to church. It was a Taurus .357 many years ago. When I sat down, the but would make a klunk sound from the butt hitting the pew. While I was the only one of my 18yr old friends carrying, they always laughed at that. To this day they still laugh about that. It makes me smile. That was 22 yrs ago!

I appreciate the data. when I referenced .380 I was trying to head off the millions of "just get a .380" replies I was about to get.

I carry a Taurus PT745 in my pocket all day every day, even when I'm carrying another weapon OWB. I use a Blackhawk pocket holster, and in some of my pants, it prints a little, but nobody other than another gun guy is really gonna know it's a gun. I wear BDUs a lot at work, and it is virtually invisible with those, and in hot weather I wear baggy cargo shorts. Never been outed.
