    I dropped off a few hundred pounds of 316 stainless at a scrap yard today.
    I asked about a tote of wheel weights sitting on the side of the building.
    I asked the owner how much cash for the tote. He said 10 cents a pound, it weighed about 850 lbs. Before he could tell me what the tote weighed I handed him two fifty's.

    Best deal I've ever had on good lead.

    Our local scrap yard refuses to sell ANYTHING once it is taken in as scrap.
    They try to say it's because of liability.
