Lee Enfield Gunsmith

I need to find a gunsmith familiar with Lee Enfield rifles. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

No specific issue. Just have an old enfield I would like to have looked over before it's fired.

For that the smith doesn't have to be specific to the enfield... most trusted smiths should be able to handle that.... where are you located?

If you are looking for info on value, I would start a thread in the long gun section w/ as many pictures and as much information as you can, and let the membership help.

Is there a reason that you feel like it needs to be checked out by a gunsmith?

Gun has clearly not been used/fired for a very long time. That is mainly it.

Any SEVERE pitting in the chamber or bore? Cracks in the metal? does the bolt feel like it closes tightly? IMHO these guns were build WELL and can typically be trusted unless there is something that stands out otherwise.
