    Traditional "pistol" calibers such as the .357, .44 mag, and .45 Colt are a completely different animal in a rifle. The added velocity and typically added accuracy (longer sighting radius and steadier holding ability) really make them shine. I am a fan of larger bullets. I shoot a .45 Colt rifle. Moved up to that from a 44-40. With that being said, I too, would recommend something in a .357 chambering since you have the pistol and you don't reload. Have fun.
