This place just opened in June of 2010. They're about 1/2 gun shop and 1/2 archery shop. They have an indoor archery range, but no shooting range.

Just FYI, I went by there yesterday and they are closed on Mondays. Still looking forward to checking them out.

Fetla's in Valparaiso closed about 2 years ago. Also, Midwest Gun Exchange in Mishawaka has moved. They are now at 3415 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. I was there this week. Very nice store, and very friendly sales people, especially Bob.

I would recommend Indiana Gun Club. They have outdoor shooting for trap, skeet, and sporting clay. They have recently began to sell a large number of handguns used and new along with a good stock of long guns. Phillip Baker runs the shop along with the range at Atterbury. I have personally bought more than a few guns there. Here is there info:

Premiere or plainfield they will both work with you on used guns. Plus bryce and bob are both very informed and knowledgeable at either location. Dons = good for range in cold weather bad for pricing.

I bought my Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 38 from Herndon's shop, just west of Bloomfield earlier this year. Give him a shot (pun intended).

A gun shop in Huntington opened up in December. Their selection is small right now, but it sounds like they are off to a decent start. I met the guys running it and they seem like great people. $20 transfer fee.
