Got my first 1903 a few weeks ago. It was first bought in 2009 from the CMP.
Its not a collector but rich in History...Its a Springfield made in 1932, an surely
saw action early in WWII. Originally it had a straightstock but recieved a Keystone "C" stock during the war most likely, an also another barrel, HS (high stadard) dated 12-44. The MW looks like 1.5...an the great guy that sold it to me at the same price he had bought it for from the CMP.

    A good pair of .22's...

Thought I'd take some pics of my pair of similar .22's Front is a Savage MKII cut to 20" and threaded for my Gemtech Outback II. It'll shoot under a half inch at 50 yards and is pushing 1" at 100 with Eley Practice ammo. In back is my new (to me) Ruger M77 MkII V/T. 26" stainless barrel in Ruger's 'Target Gray' color. Second trip out, it was shooting near 1/2" at 100 yards. Usually three or four out of five shots were in .20-.30". I'm going to load up a pile of ammo for it and practice until I can keep all five within a quarter inch! Once I get decetn with it, I'm looking forward to taking it out to 300 yards (max range I know of around here). Oh, and the Ruger will probably be heading to the shop to get chopped and threaded for my .30 cal can.
