I am looking for someone local who does glock grip reductions / refinishing. Figured I would check and see if i could support the little guys first. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated
What are you wanting done? I did my own finger groove removal and stippling on a gen 3. I bought the tools, and took my time. It took me 8 hours when it was all said and done. For what I would consider the labor cost to be, I think it's cheaper to DIY, so long as you don't rush it.
Removing the finger grooves alone makes the glock grip 100% better IMO.
Elmore's in Greenwood does stippling on polymer frames, but I'm not 100% sure about significant grip reductions. However, anyone who does stippling correctly (IMHO), a few mm are shaved off when they take off the original texture is removed.
Why does it have to be local? There are so many great companies out there that do excellent work and have fairly quick turnaround times.
I've done grip reductions and trigger guard grooves with stippling. I've found that if you have any artistic background you can do better than most you pay to do it. Start doing it yourself and you start to realize that a lot of stipple jobs that people do aren't very good.
