loose/rattling clip

Is there an effective way to fix or at the very least tighten up the clip somehow for a Taurus PT 111 G2 so that it doesn't rattle when full?

Is this the only magazine you have for the pistol? All I can think of is to buy a new one, or replace the spring, follower and floor plate.

None of my G2 mags rattle. I suggest you take it completely apart to clean with CLP and put it back together. Let us know!

Try not loading the max capacity. I know a few of my RAMI mags stop rattling when I don't top them off.

That could work I suppose, I wonder if maybe it has been apart and re-assembled incorrectly?

All of my XDm mags rattle when fully loaded w/ 19 rounds. Even with the +10% Wolf mag springs. But I do have to move it pretty good to get them to make noise.

But take it apart, clean it and see what happens as mentioned above.

And for the record, you have a magazine, not a clip.

My RAMI mags all do that. I just deal with the rattle rather than download them. I’d hate need that extra round and not have it.

Get a Garand, those clips never rattle, just ping.

I've had plenty of mags from various guns over the years do this. I agree with Chezuki, I just deal with it.

Years ago the recommended fix for mag rattle in the KelTec P11 was to disassemble the mag, remove the follower, and then slightly bend the top spring loop "up" a tad. I tried it on both of my rattling P11 mags and it worked like a charm.

I suggest that you (And others who may read this) attempt the same thing with their mag springs. Don't go crazy with your bending or you'll create a weak spot in the spring. Just open it up a bit at a time - reassemble and check it. Do it again if you need to .
