For those of you who own them:

Are the M&P 40/9 pretty much the same frame? I went to LGS and all they had was mp40c. I like it. Is the radius on the 9 the same?

If so, I think I might know what my next purchase will be

Also, how about conversions from 40 to 9? Full size only or are tgere compact versions as well?

Yes. Same frame.

As I recall you can do a 40 -> 9 conversion but not the other way around so if you're looking for a 2 in 1 solution then you'd want to start with the 40.

Here's a link to one conversion barrel. It's a little cheaper than buying a 2nd gun.

Instead of starting a new thread for this i will add on here, the m&p compact 40/9mm/357sig all have the same frame, i puchased a 357c. the .357sig and 40 use the same mag. I recently purchased a 9mm barrel from storm lake and have put a few rounds through it, though not as many as i would like due to the fact i dont have 9mm mags yet.

it is a very simple change over, 2 mins. tops. the 9mm barrel was very accurate or atleast for me, as i am still learning to shoot a handgun. overall im pleased with the barrel and the gun in both calibers.
