good gun in my opinion. I know a few people that have them and have had nothing but good luck with them. but I think $649 is a little high. I have personally seen them in 2 different local gun stores for $549 just recently.

I'm watching this thread. At the last 1500, one group was selling a bunch of these at $539. I was tempted, but wanted to learn more about them before I invested.
Never had any problems out of mine. Mostly shot 55gr American Eagle through it. I shot sub moa @ 100yds with 69gr match ammo, and that was my first time ever at 100 so I know the rifle can do way better.
^^^^this was my thought as well. I have a friend that waited until palmetto had some deals and free shipping and built his with transfer for right at $600
I picked up one online from GunBuyers about four weeks ago..... $529.00 with free shipping. Right now they're out of stock but they periodically get more in.
I was one of the people who picked up one of these at the last 1500 for $539. I've put about 300 rounds through it so far, not a single hiccup, the things eats tula steel case all day long without any issues. It's a solid gun, not a battle rifle but I don't regret picking it up.
Also, not sure how widespread it is, but the local Walmart in Terre Haute is having a clearance sale on some of their guns this week. I picked up a Sig 522 rifle on clearance for less then $350, about $100 cheaper then I could find it anywhere else. They had a Colt 6940 for under a grand and an elderly lady picked up an AR15 bundle package that was going for $1600 for less then a grand. I didn't really check out all the rifles but there were other AR's that had the prices cut.
Really considered making the M&P Sport my first AR but went with a PSA for just a few bucks more. Would like to get one eventually. Heard nothing but good things about them.
FYI...GrabAGun has them as the daily special today for $559.
Never owned one or held one. Just remember that a guy who had one at the Appleseed I attended. I was seriously considering purchasing one at the time. The guy was training his early teen son to shoot with the Sport model. They had consistent and continuing feed problems. As I recall, they did not get it to the point that they could complete a qualification test. I decided not to purchase one. Might want to look carefully at the mags and the feed apparatus when you select your piece. Just a thought.
