Is this for a brake or a suppressor? Probably fine for a brake but if you want to run a suppressor, the threads should be cut on centers with a lathe, not a die.Muzzle threading can be done easily with only the front sight block needing to be removed.
Thread alignment tool to start die and someone or a good vise to hold the rifle steady is all that is needed after removing sight assembly.
Good point, the OP doesn't say.Is this for a brake or a suppressor? Probably fine for a brake but if you want to run a suppressor, the threads should be cut on centers with a lathe, not a die.
If it's in good shape, I wouldn't modify it anyway. I have a superb post ban mak90 with the original box and accessories that I would love to put an optic on but I don't want to drill out the pins.Good point, the OP doesn't say.
Anyone know an indiana gunsmith that can thread an Ak correctly without removing the barrel?
