Anyone here make their clothing Fire Resistant/Retardant? I would rather just "refresh" the FR on my work clothes than buy brand new coveralls. Anyone do this? What's your method or recommendations?

you must be working at the BP project....I just ordered more fr last night because of the New head of safety cracking down...To refresh the fr in what you have you would have to buy the fr detergant to wash your cloths in..But as long as the fr tag is on what you have there isnt a issue with them...I have seen guy remove there fr tags and place them on other clothing...Remember if that place blows i really dont think the clothing is gonna help one bit

I had a buddy that raced a funny car. He had some Nomex clothes and I remember he had chemicals for treating the rest of his clothing. Maybe a racing shop has that?

Yeah, I was wondering about that stuff. There is some solution for it. Sounds like it would just be easier to get new stuff. And, you are right, if it blows, most of the plant and the town of Whiting are going with it.
