Has anybody here taken these classes? What'd you learn? Was it worth it?

I'm interested, but i'd like to make sure it's worth my time.

I did with some other guys from INGO and INS it really is helpful but my advice to you is to get some fellow INGO members to go with you. I thinly I will be volentering to help with the class

I was in the same class. We had a great group and the course content was really good. ( would recommend a few INGO and INS attend at the same time... Otherwise you might not have anyone else to relate to in the class LOL )

LOVED the disaster course that was setup on the last day... The free material... The free equipment...

I would highly recommend this FREE training.

I will more than likely go back to assist with the class as well.

    Cheers

For this class yes. I have heard some counties do not have a cert program I asked the instructors and they are more than willing to accept attendees outside of the county.

If you give them a call I'm sure they will work with you.

I'm guessing the class is supposed to be restricted to residents of the sponsoring county because, as part of the class, you are issued equipment. Most counties, Marion among them, aren't going to be able to justify giving equipment away to non-residents.

Equipment, you say? What kind of equipment?

I'm going to take the class one way or another, but it may have to be in tennessee (I work/pay taxes/have a lease here, but, since I'm a student, my permenant address is in tn), so I'm just trying to get a feel for what's involved.
