I have a 1911 BSA Lee Enfield No 1 MK III with no import marks on it, It has been sporterized but I really want to put a full stock back on it. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not a No. IV stock would fit because No 1 Mark III stocks are hard to come by and expensive, thanks -Gavin.

No the stock will not fit. You have to find a No.1 MKIII stock. You can not mod the stock to fit. I own a 1944 No.4 MK1 and a 1925 No. 1 MKIII and I looked at both before posting this. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that till will not work. Sorry.
