I thought that was good of the officer to actually say that. It might have been some of those people a little more at ease.

That doesn't mean mentally disabled. "Innocent" means different things to different people. And some people's culture and upbringing promotes killing those who have done nothing but worship at the wrong altar. Don't ever forget that.

You can be brought up to be evil while thinking you're a holy warrior of all things good and right. That doesn't make you mentally disabled.
