    Was at the ft. wayne show today and seen a metro arms 1911 american classic. Haven't heard of these guns before. Iknow they are built in the Philippines but thats all. Anyone have any knowledge on these guns

    I do not own one, but a friend of mine does. I shot about 20 rounds through it last summer and was impressed.
    I believe he has a total of about 600 rounds through it, with no issues that I know of.

    I had an American Classic, the first model. Put several hundred rounds thru it without problems. Pretty good gun. Sold it recently tho. Wanting something a bit smaller

    Looks good but at that price I would almost you better off speing a little more and getting a Ruger or established brand entry level model. I would be more comfortable in case it had issues and I think you would find more buyers if you were to resell it.
