I saw a Glock on Gunsamerica at Mikes Country Store in Laporte County. Eric at the store was incredibly friendly and helpful regarding field stripping the pistol. It is a great place to buy any gun.

I was in the store once for something not gun related, and thought I'd check out the gun store. As I was going in the door I noticed a sign that said something to the effect of "if you bring a loaded gun in here we'll take it." I didn't go in and I didn't buy what I came for.

I did not see the sign when i entered the gun sales part of the store. They were very helpful, friendly and inexpensive.

Since when does a store have the right to conviscate anyone's personal weapon? They can ask you to leave, but I don't turn over my weapon to any jerk store person! I was there once...will never be back, they can stick their sign where the sun doesn't shine!

I found that they negotiated on price better than any gun store around NWI and were better than most gun shows. I bought a holster today for the pistol that I bought a couple of weeks ago and they sold it to me for less than the price on the package (and I did not even ask). By the time you pay shipping from MIdwayUSA (a great company too) it is cheaper to buy local.

Confiscate it. No I would have a local LEO there quick and ask for changes of theft. A posted sign is just that a posted sign. you are not keeping my piece. I am a busy person if the door opens I don't think I would even look at a sign outside. If it was locked I would look for store hours and leave. I try to forget all advertisement's they are just to prevalent today.. I also retain a very good lawyer.

Now I have no problems of them escorting me out or further banning me access for life to the store or property. That is up to them their place their rules not a problem. I could ask everyone entering my house to remove and place the guns with me while on my property for my protection. Good example would be a wild west poker game with real money and a little spirits. Best to collect them at first and when leaving allow them to have them back. Poker sprits and guns is a volatile mix.

My place my rules got a problem leave and don;t let the door hit ya where your maker split ya.

Now would it be Polite to announce to your local gun store when entering that you are cc'ing and ask the owners permission to do so on the property they own or rent. I think it should go both ways.

What my grandma told me. Ask permission first when using other peoples property. We had a friend with a good catfish pond. I always asked permission to fish. They always said I could fish there at anytime. She always made me ask each time I went out of common courtesy or respect. Something that is missing today.
