Missing ar part

Got an ar put together today for the first time...i lost the front detent pin for the front of the rifle...can somebody help me out on this tiny part

I'm fairly certain Bradis has them. I was looking through their AR box a few days ago and I remember seeing some. I don't think they were expensive.

I watched a you-tube video of a guy that put his lower together while the whole thing was inside of a clear plastic "bed-in-a-bag" bags. He laid the bag down and put his hands in through the zipper area.
Said if/when something got loose, it was likely captured in the bag.

Seemed a little cumbersome to me, but whatever smokes your shorts...

It's a piece of brass rod... just go the the hardware store, get a piece of rod, and cut off as many as you need.

Good deal! I lost a buffer retainer and the buffer retainer spring a while back. I then ordered an Oh Shoot! kit from Joe Bob's.

That was the most frustrating part I encountered was dealing with those little buggers.

OP glad you found it. I know a strong magnet has saved my butt many times to find lost "Jesus" pins, clips, springs and other multiple bits of metal.

Elmores has all of the Oh S--- parts and are great to deal with. I bought several extra springs, pins and crap for less than 10 bucks.
