Today the work crew from RCI was busting their butts stripping vegetation off the berms in preparation of adding height. It was painfully clear that once the berms were stripped that they were not at a safe height.

Work began on Wednesday with RCI addressing critical drainage issues. Thursday they began in bay 4. Work will continue to Bay 9.

Today several of us built a 4th Safe Area, an essential piece of range equipment that is not only needed for the upcoming Indiana State Match, but for monthly matches as well. We also built a new door for Bay 8 steel storage, that replaces a poorly built one that was on it's last leg.

We hope that with these improvements that Silver Creek continues to lead the way in the shooting sports for our area and provides a safe and well maintained facility for our members and guests.

We had a member donate his time to build 3 new shooting benches for Bay 8. These will replace the poorly built and flimsy ones that are currently there.

Well we are in the home stretch of the work. We have hired a company to come out and hydroseed the berms on the first week of September. Gotta get grass growing and September is the best month.

Next up, possibly in November, is work on the last 2 bays, 16 and 17 and final work on drainage.

Hopefully Bosshoss will chime in, he saw them in person today when he came down for the ICORE RO meeting.

Range is looking awesome. It was always a great range but it is looking like a true world class facility.
Amazing how many big bays in such a relatively small area.
Now about that dome and heat and AC.
