It is bayonet with a sight guard to fit on early 1891/30 rifles. Designed by Panishin.

Congrats! Didn't look at the auction. How much if you don't mind me asking?

    Les

With shipping it will be $324.00, not cheap but I needed one for a 34 SCW Transational 91/30. I did some searches and found they normally go between $300/$400 so I figured I might as well take the plunge.

Now I need one for my 33 SCW Transational 91/30...... :ugh:

Very cool MT! I'd never seen nor heard of these, so thanks for sharing. Your SCW rifle just has the post front sight, correct?

Yes DD, both my 33 & 34 have the blade ( barleycorn ) style front post, the bayonet was hooded to protect the blade

Here is a pic of a Transitional front sight that these Bayonets where designed for.

But what MillerTyme hasn't told anybody, is that he has a tunnel from his basement that emerges in a closed arsenal in the former Soviet Union. Have you finished installing the high speed rail line yet?:cool:

Rail line is complete John, now I am building a spur line to Helsinki so I can get my hands on a couple (of hundred) TKIV 85 sniper rifles.

How many would you like John.
