So my father showed me a rifle he has been using for squirrels that he wants to get cleaned up. It's a Mossberg 46A that my grandfather got when he was 17 in school. The blueing needs redone but it's in good shape otherwise.
It has an issue though. If you have it on SAFE and pull the trigger, it's fine.
If you have a loaded chamber though, the gun fires when you switch it to FIRE.
I tried to do some research on the rifle to see if this was a common issue, but the rifle is so old I can't find much on it.
If anyone here has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.
