Looking for an autoloder in the next couple of days, seen a Remington 1100 tac and a Blackwater 930 SPX. I'd like a Benelli M4 but not willing or able at this time for a $2,000 and up 12g. So on with the question phase, anyone familiar with the 930, it's the one I'm leaning towards. What's the good bad and ugly on this 12g.

My brother has an 1100 tac and it shoots well, my only complaint is it only takes 2.75 shells which isn't a big deal, but that would be a deal breaker for some. The 930 has a 3 inch chamber if that is what you are looking for. Overall I think the Remington has a little better feel that any of the 930s I have handled.

I have a 930 non SPX and it has been great. It will run cheap walmart bulk pack to slugs without any problems. Me and a buddy shot around 2000 rounds of bulk pack the first summer I got it busting clays.

The 12g I own now is a Benelli that has a 3 1/2 in chamber, I do like the ability to shoot what ever size shell I choose or have on hand.

    Love my 930 SPX

It is 100% reliable and great to shoot. The only downside is the lack of aftermarket add-on parts. The upside is that it really doesn't need modifications.

The 930 will be the least expensive of the options but that doesn't mean is the worst of the semi's, Mossberg is the IMO best value as the other options are double the price and more.

Mine and a coworkers 930spx has ran great. I would recommend them to anyone looking for that style of shotgun. Cheap stuff, slugs, etc all cycle fine.

Just ordered the 930 from KGI Distribution, hope they have good service, my first dealing with them but not my last if all goes well. They have a great stock of all things on the "ban" list and not assaulting customers with prices.

I am also thinking about picking up a 930. I haven't been able to find an SPX, but have found the tactical 5-shot. I asked a LGS about them and he said you cannot order the mag extension w/o providing the serial number. Has anyone else heard of this? On the Choate website, I did everything but click confirm order and it never asked for anything like that.

I have a 930 SPX and I like it. The only real complaint I have is the lack of aftermarket furniture available. I would really like to go with a Hogue stock set, but there isn't one available.

My 930 has yet to ship, it did come with a warning due to increase in demand expect delays, you know the usual these days. But the sling point is pretty nice, I did order the pistol grip model, will the sling point still work?

The 930 SPX does not require changing anything depending on what shell you use. It is not the "best" shotgun out there but it certainly is not a slouch.

I have had one for a few years now and have noticed one thing that I wonder if anyone else has noticed.

Where the barrel is screwed into whatever it is screwed into, I am getting corrosion. White and when I wipe it away, it is pitting the barrel.
