Purchasing and then giving away two Rock Island Armory 1911 Tacticals to family members.

The first I gave to my father for all of the "above and beyond" things that he has done over the years for me and my wife. Honestly, a small price to pay to show him that we appreciated everything that he has done. :rockwoot:

The second is going to my father-in-law for a Christmas gift from his daughters and myself. He fell in love with my Springfield when he held it. Apparently it brought back some love for the 1911 from his time in the 101st Airborne. I know it isn't the same as a Springer, but what can he say...it's "free". Pretty sure he will like it...although I personally dont like the grips.

This is sort of morbid, but I don't feel too bad giving them away because I know that eventually I will get them back.

Anyone else giving guns for gifts?
