    Yep, good job for her trying to do something. His punishment was a bit of community service, no wonder kids don't worry about committing crimes or getting caught. No real punishment, who really cares.

    I didnt get to see all of it last night on the news, why were the police confronting her? At least that is what I got from the clip the news was showing of the 'upcoming stories'. I have a Soc. textbook with a pic of a woman with a sign which reads "I shoplift", which was part of her sentence.

    -1 to the Nanny's that called the cops on her. Seriously people need to mind their own business sometimes (well most if not all of the time).

    It might be to late to change the kid, but I give the mom props for not giving up on him and making the effort to help him see the light. It's too bad that kids have so many bad influences in their lives that seem to trump moral values.
