Changed the oil and filter, replaced the battery, and I am ready to ride.

My new Harley Ultra Classic, time and date stamp didn't change the year, but I just got it 2 weeks ago, now we just need some better weather.
Thanks to the Dave Ramsey financial peace, this is bought and paid for, no payment book !

I love bobbers, street fighters and some rats if they're done to my taste. I'll probably end up getting a cruiser to take family members on rides though.

My coworkers have all been getting bikes or are starting to ride and I'm getting the itch!

So tell me INGO users, should I start on a Honda Shadow 600 (or like bike) that I know I'll replace soon enough? Or just go out and buy the bike that I really want? HD Sportster is on my radar? I've had many people tell me no to worry on cruisers, not sure if I wan to risk that!

Get the bike that you really want. There probably isn't too much difference in weight between the two bikes. I've had two Sporters (883 and 1200). I now have a 1999 Super Glide. The good thing about Harleys is that in six months it can be as individualized as you are. Too many options that makes yours as different as you want. The bad thing is that it all costs. I've dropped about 5,000 into mine with all the chrome and engine work. But get want you want.

I have had Harleys and crotch rockets and love them all. I currently have a Honda because the price was right and only wanted to have to change oil once a year.

Get what will float your boat then you will not regret the purchase. You can get a used Sportster for a decent price. The last one I had was great and a lot of fun.

My ride is second from the left. It is loaded down for a trip following the Gen. John Hunt Morgan Trail through southern IN. Honda Shadow Sabre 1100cc V-twin.

I wish they hadn't stop making the C109R, I sooo wanted one. :yesway: They are bad ass! Have you done any mods to it? I have a 2007 C50 (which I'm selling) which I've done a lot to with the help of IntruderAlert Cafe

I bought a replacement for the C50 last summer, an HD Ultra. Will always have a soft spot for the Boulevards though.
