    I think they're pretty good.
Wouldn't want to live off them. But good for a temporary situation.
I usually have a few food bars in addition set aside.
Mountain House needs hot water, and you may not have that available if you're scooting.

You can rehydrate these meals without hot water. It just takes a lot longer.

Looking at that list, I've had the spaghetti & meat sauce, stroganoff and the apple crisp. They taste a lot better if you're tired from a day on the trail than if you're just hunkered down and sheltering in place.

    * + .97 means it's a good deal and probably won't be coming back any time soon, if ever again.

I went to Costco yesterday and meant to look for some of these, but didn't remember until after I had got back to the house.

The wife, kids and I went camping for a week and a half. We probably ate 10-15 different meals by mountain house, wise and a backpackers. The mountain house was very good I thought. Probably the best was beef stroganoff but all of them tasted good. The wise was ok. It was more mushy and salty but still tasted good and the backpackers was chicken Alfredo and it was good also. I have no problem eating them and they are alot better than granola bars for dinner. We picked up a bucket on amazon for $48 shipped when most of the local stores sell them for $70.

I regularly use MH foods when I go backpacking. I've tried Backpackers Pantry, but everything I tried was ridiculously spiced up. I'm not a fan. For MH, Noodles with Chicken is tops, tastes like one of those Knorr side dishes. Beef stew, spaghetti and meat sauce, and finally chili mac round out my top picks. For breakfast, the Breakfast Skillet rolled up in tortillas is absolutely awesome and a great start to a day of hiking. Lots of lasting energy there.

Thanks for the input on these. I am looking for something for long term storage in my BOB. Can anyone tell me how long they can be stored?
