Think of it as going to a great hotel that has restaurants, bars, casino, pools, hot tubs, fitness rooms, and every day when you wake up you find that the hotel has moved to a new location. Been on 5, going on #6 in June, probably several more before all said and done. Enjoy.

    .... Cruise line says I don't need a passport ......

An old fraternity buddy of mine years ago had a favorite saying that I'll quote now --- "That may be true, but I don't believe it."

    Better check the RC website.

I went to get my passport on Sat. Another delay. I didn't know my original birth certificate wasn't allowed. Govt. website said you can use it (secondary proof of citizenship) as long as it contains all the required info which mine did, even notarized, but the processing agent still said no and told not to believe everything I read on the state website. Now I have to go to the county seat and get a state issued one before they will process my passport app. They said they would send the original in and see what happened but advised me that if it is rejected, I would have to pay the $200 fee again. She said even with the delay, as long as I expedite it I should have no problem getting it before we leave.

Sounds like you are going to cruise FROM a US Port back to a US Port = Closed Loop Cruise , you won't need a passport

GO - enjoy - have a good time, You will get out of it what you put into it. Positive attitude - enjoy your family.

If the SHTF - I hear the cook is an ex navy seal and will take care of things...

That's what RC told me on the phone but I just don't like the idea of not having it. Anyway, I'm going to be sitting on the county building steps this morning when they open and hopefully I'll be able to leave with the proper certificate and then off to South Bend so the paperwork and my $210 (highway robbery) can finally be on its way.
