Dinged up my TC Hawken Silver Elite .50 yesterday.
    Was kinda collectible LOL.
    Both bucks were too small.
Love dinging up wood for nuthin'.
Oh well, guess I'll hunt it hard this coming week.
Proly my most hated rifle, beats crap outta my cheek.
But I did kill my avatar buck with it way back.

BTW, looking at synthetic stock for my #1 .308
    Post Xmas present to myself

Not match winning accuracy for sure, but good enough for me. A three shot group with the rifle I posted, and I pulled the third shot . Yes I shoot three shot groups. I am mainly concerned with the first and second, sometimes third, so that is all I shoot. And yes, I did adjust up from there. Next group was about the same, maybe better since I didn’t pull the last shot, but I didn’t get a picture of it. I will take this any day for a hunting, or maybe anything else, rifle. About an inch ish. Ammo was hornaday 165 sst. I think my hand loads of 165 grain game kings will do just a touch better. I am good with that.

If we are talking "busting" a deer then the bottom one is my favorite. A P14 converted to shoot .45/70 with a .405gr cased soft nose that will put the first two in the same hole at 100y if I do my part. Not much tracking needed, don't have to bleed them much either. I changed scopes from that picture, it now has an old BSA on it because I like the exposed turrets. I will have to take an up to date pic of it.

It was built by a smith down in Ky but I got it a passport to come to Hoosierville. Fun, fun, fun...

Dings are just another way to write the story.

In all our conversations I never would have imagined such heresy coming from you.
    Ozzy Osbourne uses better language!
People were burned at the stake for less!
Books are burned for a fraction of what you just wrote!
Composite stocks on a No. 1? Really, I never saw it coming.

Wood shrinks over time. Has potential for flaws within the material.
    Reacts to water/humidity.
Have seen buttstocks split, the #1 is of weak design there IMHO.

Pendleton in grey w Pachmayr decelerator pad. If I put one on the 1A.
Brown if doing the 1B. That one may be needing a new bbl soon, if so stainless.

Like the HS Precision for synth.

Put one on my 700 ADL.
Factory equip on 700 VSF (blued fluted varmint- non catalogued).
Also factory on some Model 7 stainless synthetic.

    Not against trying other brands.

Too bad Big Green didn't do the 700 LVSF in .243, that'd been a keeper.

You do understand that I just had to say something. I couldn't stop myself. I couldn't.

@ the corner of IN, KY & OH.
I pretty much do everything hunting-wise now with an AR of some sort. I got my biggest buck this year with my .350L AR that I built a couple years ago. I was squirrel hunting with my .22LR AR I built up last year and got a skunk with it, so it does double duty as pest control. A 5.56 AR with a red dot sits in the corner for HD. So the AR platform would be my favorite rifle.
