Actually there is some truth in that conclusion.

Anytime there's an unseasonably warm day in the off seasons, we see a spike in the number of shootings, stabbings, fights and the like rolling into the hospital.

There was an article in the Chicago Sun Times yesterday about Cook County jail being over 90% full already this year. Tom Dart said they are going to be in trouble when that happens, though I fail to see why it's any different than any other year.

I'm sure they'll just keep packing them in there as usual.

Well if we removed the TVs, weight rooms, and exercise yards their would be a lot more room for prisoners! But that wouldn't be fair to treat prisoners as, well, criminals.

My friend Jerry is semi-retired, he was Pastor of a very large church and it was becoming to hard on him to keep the hours necessary, so he is now ministering to a smaller congregation in Arizona or New Mexico (can't remember). He lost his wife a few years ago, and my niece lost her husband. They were childhood friends (as I was with him), and started corresponding, after a year or so they married. They are both near 70. He is a fine man - also a conservative!
