Anyone know of an appraiser around Indy that could give a value on an 1812 flintlock pistol? I know it was built in Italy in 1812 and is the real deal, have already checked that out. Just need a value. Thanks in advance.

Check Gunbroker to see if anything like that is one there for their going rates if you wanna sell.

Thanks, but I need a real hands on appraiser. There are many factors that determine price on a gun that is 200 years old and a bunch of yahoos that are on a auction site are not what I would go by.

Call 500 guns in speedway. That guy carries the double rifles and shotguns and knows the strange stuff. I can't remember his name at the moment. The owner told me that if I ever needed help on value to give him a call.

Nowmal gun shops are not going to be of much help on something so old and not americian.

What a nice condition piece if it has not been restored or over cleaned.

Also nice toes in picture #2 looks like my pictures:

I hear GunSmoke in Colorado can. Maybe even Red Jacket...

There has to be someone locally. Seriously, but you are getting old and rare there.

You may want to try a reputable antiques dealer. A lot of the larger ones have contacts for items they don't specialize in.

I wasn't trying to be a smartass. I just meant if you can't find someone who would know the value, that would be a good starting point if you want to sell.
