I need some help finding the value of my Colt Diamondback. It is blued with the 2 1/2 inch barrel in 38 special. No box or papers and is in excellent condition.Serial number puts it manufactured in 1969.

A 2.5 in diamondback in 38 special is rather rare. Most are 4 inch. If it were nickel finish it would be more rare.

Replacement value LNIB would be 2k. I don't see box but I do not see a turn ring either so 1k-2k as pictured.

Some me will say I am pricing it high but I am giving replacement value here.

There is a market for everything. Just have to find the person who wants that gun. Someone just looking to buy something most likely won't buy it. Your gonna be looking at people who like those guns or people who like a rare specimen. If you put it up for sale it may take a while.

Unless you need the money, I would hang on to that gun. I will keep going up in value. Look on gunbroker.com and search Colt Diamondback to see what they are going for.
