Anyone had any experience with Barska scopes? I'm looking at a Barska 6-24 for my AR. Seems to be a nice scope, but I've no experience with the brand.
Also the ATN X-sight 3x12 night vision scope anyone own one? Looking for night scope for coyotes.

Barska scopes are now worth considering but I'll let everyone else tackle that one this time. The Barska seams like a nice scope because it's loaded with features and cheap. It the features don't work it kind of defeats the purpose.

To the best of my knowledge the x sight had not started shipping from the manufacturer so no one will have experience with that one.

Not a scope, but I bought a Barska 1x30 Red dot for $110 to try on my AR earlier this summer. The windage dial was messed up and I couldn't get it to sight in. I returned it a week later and got my money back. Saving up for a quality red dot now.

I've never had a Barska product last very long, I would definitely spend your money elsewhere.
ATN on the other hand, tends to make a great product although I've never used that particular model. Night vision is a blast to mess with though, and my own PVS-14 is pretty high up on want list right now.

I had a 6x24 "Tactical" from Barska a few years ago: 1 range trip and it was in the trash. The vertical adjustment wouldn't hold and it started rattling the first time out on a 10+ lb .308 Win. After a couple hours trying to get help from CS, I decided it was best to just move on.

Both of my Barska scopes have been on in-line muzzleloaders for several years. NO, they arent the best, the clearest, ect. But, at the time they were at a price I could afford, and have done all I ever asked of them from day one.

If you can afford better, it would be in your best interest to do so. But if you are strapped for funds, and just have to have a scope, they will function at a rudimentary level until you can afford to upgrade.

Personally, the guns I use them on are limited my trajectory to less than 200 yards, only see the light of day for a few weeks a year, and have been set on the same adjustments for going on 6 years, without being moved, so wear on the internals is almost non existent. I likely will never have a need to upgrade the glass on these rifles. My other rifles that I look to for true precision accuracy, and will be dialing in to the range/wind dope just about every time it comes out to play, I do spend more on the glass, as I know that it will get a workout as compared to most of my hunting guns that I use in Indiana. The focus, clarity and adjustability also really start becoming a priority when the ranges stretch out, and precision is the desired goal.
