Got a new Sig P226 Elite with the short reset trigger in 9mm yesterday evening. Took it to the range this morning and put over 350 rounds through it. Rem UMC, Magtech FMJ, 3 brands of JHPs, Winchester white box with no malfunctions, at all. Who knew you could blow through $300 so quickly?

If you are looking for a fullsize carry gun and have the money, I would recommend this gun to anyone. It is the most accurate gun I have ever fired, 3" group of 10 at 25 feet (and i'm not the best shot in the world).

It's always a great feeling when you discover you made the right choice, not to mention going through $300 of ammo. Congrats

Did you keep the wood grips on it or change to plastic? I would love to find some nice G10 grips or something in a camouflage pattern, just to be a little different.

    3" group of 10 at 25 feet....

I have a friend with one of these and I agree it is truly a fabulous piece. The very first time I shot it, I had a 1" to 1.5" 4-shot group at 7 yards (with three of the shots touching)....and then I shot a flyer. I was so pissed.....

But I loved the gun. Just awesome!! I hope you truly enjoy it.

Ive never owned a sig, but have always loved shooting the many my friend has. I especially like his polymer framed sig he just picked up, may just have to find out what model it is and look into purchasing one! :D
