Hello all...just moved back to my home state and just found this sweet site. I'm looking for a good AK gunsmith in the area of Indianapolis/Greenfield area..if anyone had any work done and are pleased with the result I would love to know where you went. I have lived out of state for the last 12 years so I'm basically starting from scratch. Thanks

Honestly, the Saiga 12 conversion is pretty easy and can be done with hand tools. That's how I did mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ER4xCkd4_do

Some Saigas have threaded barrels under the shroud. Any machinist or home gunsmith that has worked on an AK and has a threader and press could do it. If the recommended smith above can't help, the INGO Gunsmithing forum is a good place to start. There are plenty of guys with shops in there.

You can prob do this yourself IF you have a threader as mentioned above.
