Well boys I had a chance to feel up this fine firearm tonight.
I can second everything Melensdad has said.
    This thing is SWEET!!!
No rattle to it at all, sweet trigger pull, everything fits tight.
I think the mag release is a bit tight but I think it's just "new gun" tight. I do like that the release isn't stupid huge. The safety and slide release are nicely sized. The finger extension on the magazine seems a little cheap (to me) I think it could be better.

Over all it's a great piece and just one more reason to hate Melensdad.

FWIW, Joe and I talked while I pressure washed his drool and sticky finger residue from my gun. He mentioned that he thought the frame may be CERACOATED. Oddly enough, last night I received a message from another Detonics collector (Its nice to know I am not the only one) who confirmed that the frame is CERACOATED, which would explain why it has that beautiful dull green-grey finish.

. . . and just one more reason to hate Melensdad.
    Yeah, he's a dick

Just an update, from the folks at the Detonics factory in Illinois.

It has been confirmed that there are no MIM parts on the gun.

Further, the newly designed slide is not from cast or forged steel, but is machined from a solid billet of tool steel.
