New to INGO, new to guns -North side of Indianapolis

While visiting my sister in Ohio her husband [retired PD] took me shooting and I was bit by the bug. Now I've got my carry license and a brand new Springfield XDS9. I don't feel comfortable enough with it yet to carry, but plan to after I get more experience with the gun and maybe take a course. I'm already shopping for a target gun for plinking [surprise] so I have a feeling this may get expensive . I'm 50 odd years young and newly single, so I like having hobbies to keep me busy. I've learned a lot already by reading the forum and I'm looking forward to reading more to see what I can pick up. There's a wealth of knowledge here that can't be beat.
