This does peak my interest. I'll like end up getting a razor in the future to replace my strike eagle but this one will have to be considered.

Got her mounted up on my LWRCI IC-DI today really really liking it so far, hopefully be able to take it out and zero the optic Sunday

This is at one power, its more like 1.2X or so but anyone who knows anything about Optics knows that a "true" 1X is just not possible with a VO (Not calling it a LPVO as 8X is not low power) The reticle as Alan pointed out to me is very similar to the old Vortex PST 1-4 which works really well in a FFP scope as the "outer ring" just acts as a giant red dot close up

This is at 8X I really like how the reticle "scales up" in the FFP the X in the middle is easy to pick up as well as the other markings. My cell phone camera really did not do a good job picking up the illumination but I say this scope classifies as daylight bright for sure, though I have read that the green illuminated scopes are much darker. The throw arm also turns very smoothly on the Trijicon as well which is nice as I always considered the Razor HD's to be kinda stiff.

For comparison here is the 1X on the Vortex Razor HD

Here is the 6X illumination on the Razor, again my phone camera does not do a good job picking up the illumination as the glowing dot is very much like an aimpoint in the middle.

I would give a very slight advantage to the Razor in terms of clarity but as shown the two scopes are pretty darn close glass quality wise. Personally since they are basically the same price I would rather get the extra 2X and FFP of the Trijicon myself. Hopefully I will get to zero the scope this Sunday and provide an update then. So far everything has been awesome and the Accupower has exceeded all of my expectations. Thanks again to Alan for getting me the scope!!

You guys have some experience with this scope so hopefully you can help.

I recently purchased a used Accupower 1-8 and am having trouble with it. I don’t have enough + diopter adjustment to bring the scope to anything near 1x without ending up with a blurry reticle and background. The midpoint diopter adjustment gives something less than 1x with double vision. It’s a similar experience to using my Viper PST Gen II 2-10 on 2x. For reference the viper is a little clearer and has less edge distortion. There has to be something wrong. The only thing that looks off is the little ring towards the objective bell. It’s knocked out of alignment and not flush with the scope tube.

I’m coming from a Razor 1-6 and and Steiner P4xi before that and both were much closer to 1x with proper diopter adjustment.

Any thoughts? I’ll probably shoot Trijicon an email.

I would contact Trijicon, only issue I have had with mine was the small piece of reticle coming loose never had any diopter issues personally so I cannot be of much help here unfortunately.

Make sure you try calibrate diopter adjustment looking at a flat colored object like a pure white wall. If that doesn't work, and you have decent eyesight, then it's time to call the company
