    6. Approved Date: Hoping it's before the AF moves me to TX in October... :n00b:

Also, I purchased a YHM Mite back in February from Exeter Arms. It still has not cleared the Form 3 process to make it to my dealer in Lafayette so that I can begin this long process for my Form 4 again... the Air Force is moving me in October... any suggestions? I'm starting to think I should just forget my order and try to get my money back from Exeter. Thanks for any thoughts!

I would cancel the order on the YHM Mite, there is no way in hell that you will get an approval on it before you move.

I was pawing Greg's cans today

I didn't know you swung that way. :gheyhi:

I wasn't in the store; I Emailed Greg last week and told him what I wanted, he called Gemtech today and got the Form 3 rolling. He's out the rest of the week, so I'll be going over there on Monday to :spend:

    HALO time! :D

With this and with my MultiMount, there's been exactly ONE available when I called on Greg. Must be fate! It's not the best time, financially, for me to be doing this, but I was advised a long time ago that if you want to play the NFA game you have to be ready to strike when the iron is hot.

I figure if everything lines up right, this will end up being my Christmas present to myself... :ugh:

The process went very smoothly for me so far. The Crown Point Police chief signed my forms while I waited. Hopefully the approval process goes quickly too.

Not a form 1 or 4, but an importiant form nonetheless. I sent in a 5320.20 to transport my toys to Missourri next month. I screwed around and didn't get it mailed out until a couple of weeks ago. It was returned to me last Wednesday. So, it was right at a two week turnaround. I was very happy to have it as I didn't want to chance taking my AC556 across state lines without proper paperwork. I'm still a bit worried about travelling across IL with it! I'll have plenty of other guns with me and it'll be buried under much other stuff, and I'll force myself to drive like a grandpa, but I'll still be nervous! I lived in IL for near five years as a student and their gun laws are horrible!

Unfortunately you're correct about IL gun laws. ATF approved transfer, and federal interstate transfer laws should protect you but yes it could end up being a nightmare. But then why would they search your car to begin with. Good luck.
