Update on one of my two suppressors:

Thunder Beast Arms 30ps
Filed via form 4, trust
Do not remember the exact date forms were "sent"
Went pending the 22nd of September
Approval date was 26th of January
Form/suppressor in my hands today, 2nd February

Turn around time (there was a mistake on the form mind you, had to be resubmitted) was 4months and 4 days from pending date.

They give themselves 30 days. After that you request a duplicate. I've had to do this with one of mine before, kinda sucks but it happens.

Looks like they are on the cusp of getting to the ones that went Pending in November. Hanging right at the 3 month mark for F4 Trust suppressor transactions. Seems like with a bit of process improvement, they could cut that down even more, but that's expecting quite a bit from a bureaucracy.

For some reason I did not get an email when it got approved. I just happened to check it today and found that it has been approved! Hoping to shoot it tomorrow!!

So, on an educated whim, I called the BATFE today to check on my status (it was only my second call) and found out it was approved 2/10! (That's exactly 90 days from the date the check was cashed.)

Yipeekiyay!

Just have to wait for the stamp to get to the dealer!

Hmmm. The trend appears to be that SBR's are getting approved a lot quicker than suppressors.

Form 1's can be e-filed and Suppressors (Form 4s usually) are still paper forms. That's the trend you're seeing.
