    What about the cheap route I have seen on INGO that uses dayglo fishing lure paint? I wish INGO had a search, I would try and find it. I think they mentioned using a different color for the front sight versus the 2 rear. Is that part of the debate with "real" night sites?

    Excellent points by BBI, apologies if I came off as snarky, just wanted to emphasise the need for a light IF REQUIRED to PID. In the case he mentioned certainly sounder tactics to not use light and a great example of when Trits are very useful. Straight 8s are a great solution to confusing front rear if shooting this way.
